Nevaeh modeling a Danilyn's creation
Meet Linda Danielle Jones
I like to “rescue” vintage clothes, scarves, buttons, beads, broken jewelry pieces and other “found” items to create my upcycled custom clothing and jewelry for the customer who is looking for a unique style. I find items from attics, secondhand stores and estate sales, always searching for the unusual.
From an early age I was told I had a gift for taking old things and giving them a modern or trendy look. I come from a long line of seamstresses who sat with me patiently teaching me the fundamentals of assembling garments. Later in life, I moved to California and designed clothing for a shop in Topanga. I also attended Apparel Design school. Jewelry making came much later when a friend of mine taught me the basics. I often combine jewelry with clothing I have made to create an exclusive outfit.
This has become my motto: Turn something old into something new.
I target the customer who is looking for something distinctive. My creations are one-of-a-kind clothing and jewelry made by me with high quality upcycled materials and loads of attention to details.
